The Blues

Recently during an Election Rally, a minority candidate(who forgot his form!)from the Blues said that Singapore is a First World Country but doesn't have a First World Government. Lets call this chap, Mr G, Mr G from the Blues. There might be some truth in what he said as there is little freedom of speech and true democracy in this country(honestly I would not want to live to see it) but i identified discrepancies among his views. From independence till now, 41 long years, the ruling party has never changed, which started from then-PM Lee and his 'generals' that steered the nation from Third world to First. What actually shaped the nation's development is how well the government had been implementing policies to unite the people towards nation building and transforming the nation's economy. So for a Singapore to be First World, a lot of credit goes to the leaders(after independence) of the country,so on what grounds does Mr G claim that the government is not First World? Also, the fine education Mr G received definitely comes from a good system that was implemented by a First World country, which take roots from a First World government, perhaps he could had been more grateful in his remarks about the government not being First World- Josh

Disclamer: I hereby confess I am not from any political background. All my views are purely unbias and neutral based on reports taken from the media. Anyone is free to post any comments and please keep this discussion strictly intellectual. Regards.

Its been awhile...

Back to the blogging business again, didn't had much time in the past.. But that isn't a fully justified reason either, perhaps i am just like millions on the corporate track, who thought that the God-given, human-defined 24 hours ain't enough for them when they spend 19 in a day trying to outwit one another. The other 5 hours goes to sleeping when essentially the mind is still thinking about blue chips. Talking about time can be endless, irony? Anyway, just glad that i am back blogging, accumulate so much ideas that i yearned to share, but lazy to type.. Need to release some before my mind starts to blow, or i will start talking to myself. Hope what i writes interest you, even if it doesn't, too bad. Its my hands, "chopped them off!" That's so much for now.

PS: temporary using my bro's ibook, cause mine doesn't seems to connect to the home network. But all thanks to the chaps at Macs, you can say i am cheap(but i am not an indian, quoted from Russell Peters.)

Ciao,
josh
