Aussie Life

In Canberra now, pretty quiet place, unlike Singapore. But it had been fun being around this place. Give thanks to Wayne, El, Leigh and Auntie Rose for putting up with us. Been meeting lotsa people, nothing like a tour, cause you get to see the dirty side of the country. Going Melbourne tonight till Monday with the folks, apprehensive. Not sure whether is fun but hope it does. Monies running out though but i will survive with my folks around. Went to a party last Sat, got a little shit-faced but is sure fun hanging out with these Aussies. They are pretty much migrants, mixing here and there. Italians, Pinos, Curries, Germans, Greeks. The aussies love their soccer, too bad they are out so fast. Bloody italians...Go the Socceroos..Haha, doing this entry at a public mall. There are bloody asians everywhere, every corner. Some cool some not. Going Sydney with Wayne and El
next Thursday and hopefully we will have some time to go to Fsywhick and do more partying... Ciao..Take care my friends.

What's the Time?

Someone great once said that the Chinese people don't know what is TIME. The world had been evolving, becoming richer and more powerful while his motherland, with her disregard for aliens, had become a sick woman. He said that, during the colonial times when foreign powers filled our mother China, with the reigning monarch at its wits end. This person eventually manage to overthrown the monarch, unifying the country and creating a republic. Ironically, it was the West that brought in watches and taught the Chinese the concept and importance of time. Time was said to be able to bring the country forward through industrialisation. But it was also wrong timing that the Chinese went back into the dark box of not knowing how the world changed and the movement of time-Cultural Revolution. It certainly took a while for them to metamorph out of their cocoon and realise that time is indeed running out.

Was watching Globe Trekker one evening and the feature was on China. I was deeply moved by a part when a boy tried talking to the host in his barely-there english while the host struggle to understand. The boy knows that he is no longer in the dark box, he wants to get out to soak in the global sunshine and english is his passport. The Chinese have started to re-understand the importance of time. How much they dare to dream, dare to accomplish and the fire to succeed is a lesson to be learnt and to be careful as they are getting faster and faster, trying to catch our heels.

I looked back, regretting those mistakes I made, mistakes that cannot be forgiven, mistakes that has delayed my time and me surging forward. I need to re-understand time, so that I would not be retarded once again. I need to wear a watch.

Mystery

Thought I knew the rules
Thought I held it in my hands
Thought I was bulletproof 'til the blood pooled up in the sand
Are you a satellite? A shooting star or a dove?
Did we put you way up there or did God send you down from above?

Oh, how it deepens
Oh, how it deepens

Your mystery
Keeps on turnin' me on
Your mystery
Burns me up like the sun
Your mystery

Mine eyes have seen the glory of a love that does transcend
Mine eyes have seen the worst inside of man
And the fear is like a fallen bridge
A broken promise
And the proof is in the bloodshot eyes of the one who failed to see
