Knocking them down
think Singapore have a knack of knocking down 'old' buildings
building 'new' ones all over again.
hawker opposite church is getting a facelift
not your regular botox or skin tightening procedure..hur hur
but it was just like 6 yrs ago when it just got a change
now we are going to lose our comfortable sunday-lunchtime spot(and proper food)
our spot.. the drinks stall auntie, where will she go?
I think they are losing the plot in creating an environment for living
do sub-urbanites really NEED the change?
How 'new' a building must be, to be granted preservation?
Sadly, it destroys the soul of the neigbourhood and identity of dwellers
A place we call home?
Just hope that we don't get lost.
